Local-first storage
TallySeal is designed to store app data locally on your device by default. This helps keep the app usable even when you are offline.
Local records may include expense entries, receipt-related information, categories, notes, review status, profile details, and app preferences.
Exports and backups
CSV exports are intended for summaries, spreadsheets, accountant handoff, bookkeeping review, or tax preparation workflows.
Backup files are intended for keeping a copy of your TallySeal data outside the app or moving your full data set to another device when supported.
Once you export or back up a file outside TallySeal, that file is under your control. You are responsible for storing, sharing, deleting, or protecting that file.
Deletion
When you clear all data inside the app, local records and profile data are removed from the device.
Theme settings and other basic app preferences may remain on the device so the app does not fully reset its appearance.
Clearing local app data does not delete exported files, backup files, screenshots, receipts, or copies you already saved outside TallySeal.
Permissions
TallySeal should request only the permissions needed for records, receipts, exports, backups, or related app features.
If a permission becomes unnecessary, it should not be kept just in case.
Permission availability and behavior may depend on your device, operating system version, and app release version.
Receipts and supporting records
TallySeal may help organize receipt-related data and supporting details, but you remain responsible for keeping original records required for your business, tax, accounting, or legal obligations.
Offline-first limits
Offline-first does not automatically mean every record is backed up. If backup or sync features are available, review how they work before relying on them.
If your device is lost, damaged, reset, or deleted before backup/export, locally stored data may be lost.
