Acceptance of these terms
By using the TallySeal website, joining the waitlist, requesting support, reviewing product materials, installing the app, or using future TallySeal features, you agree to these Terms of Use.
If you do not agree with these Terms, do not use the website, submit information through TallySeal forms, or use the app.
Product status
TallySeal is available for supported platforms, devices, regions, app store accounts, and release tracks.
Early access does not guarantee product availability, acceptance into a beta, specific launch timing, a free plan, a paid plan, a lifetime purchase, a subscription plan, or access to every feature.
Paid plans and purchases
TallySeal may be offered as a free app with optional paid features, a one-time Pro unlock, a paid app, a subscription, or another pricing model.
TallySeal uses a free download with an optional one-time Pro unlock for eligible paid features. Pricing, packaging, features, and availability may change by platform, region, app store, or release version.
Pricing, features, availability, trial periods, refund handling, taxes, and purchase terms may depend on the app store, country, platform, and release version.
If a purchase is made through Google Play or another app store, the app store provider may process payment, manage refunds, and enforce purchase terms according to its own policies.
Paid feature access may require internet access for initial purchase, purchase verification, purchase restoration, app store communication, or anti-fraud checks.
One-time Pro unlock
A one-time Pro unlock is intended to unlock eligible Pro features for the app store account that completed the purchase, subject to app store, platform, technical, and policy limits.
A one-time Pro unlock is not intended to be a per-download charge. If supported, users may restore eligible paid access on a compatible device using the same app store account.
Pro access is not intended to be transferable to another app store account through a TallySeal backup file, exported data file, manual file copy, or local settings transfer.
TallySeal may cache Pro status locally so paid features can continue working while offline, but purchase activation, restoration, verification, or troubleshooting may require internet access.
Offline use and paid access
TallySeal is designed to support offline-first use. However, purchase activation, purchase restoration, app updates, support, diagnostics, optional online services, or future sync features may require internet access.
If paid features are unlocked, TallySeal may cache entitlement status locally so the app can continue working while offline, subject to technical, billing, security, and app store limits.
Cached entitlement status may be refreshed, corrected, revoked, or updated if later purchase checks indicate that the purchase is invalid, refunded, canceled, revoked, or otherwise unavailable.
Backups do not transfer purchases
TallySeal backups are intended to help preserve or move user-entered app data, such as expenses, categories, notes, profile details, business details, and app preferences.
Backup files are not intended to transfer Pro ownership, purchase tokens, payment history, billing accounts, or paid feature entitlement to another user or app store account.
On a new device, a user may import their backup to restore records and separately use a restore purchase feature to check eligible paid access through the app store account.
No accounting, legal, tax, financial, or CRA filing advice
TallySeal provides expense tracking, receipt organization, analytics, export preparation, and tax-readiness recordkeeping tools.
TallySeal does not provide accounting, bookkeeping, legal, tax, financial, or CRA filing advice.
You are responsible for reviewing your records and working with qualified professionals when needed.
T2125 export boundary
TallySeal may help generate summaries or fillable T2125-style preparation files using available data entered in the app.
Exports are provided for review, checking, correction, completion, accountant handoff, or tax-preparation workflows.
TallySeal does not guarantee that exported records, categories, totals, estimates, forms, or summaries are complete, accurate, deductible, accepted by the CRA, or ready for filing without professional review.
User responsibility
You are responsible for the accuracy, completeness, and legality of the information you enter, upload, export, share, or use with TallySeal.
You are responsible for keeping original records, receipts, statements, invoices, supporting documents, and any other records required for your business, tax, accounting, or legal obligations.
You should verify categories, deductible treatment, tax forms, totals, filing requirements, and business records with a qualified professional or official guidance.
Waitlist and communications
When you join the waitlist, you may receive product updates, beta notices, launch announcements, platform availability updates, and related communications.
You may unsubscribe from marketing or product update communications where required. Service or support messages may still be sent when needed to respond to your request.
Acceptable use
Do not misuse the website or app, interfere with operation, attempt unauthorized access, scrape protected areas, upload malicious content, bypass paid features, manipulate purchase status, import modified backups to unlock paid features, or use TallySeal materials for unlawful purposes.
Do not submit false, misleading, harmful, confidential, or third-party information that you are not authorized to provide.
Intellectual property
TallySeal, the TallySeal name, mascot, branding, website content, product previews, copy, interface concepts, export templates, and related materials are owned by or licensed to CK Catalyst unless otherwise stated.
You may not copy, resell, redistribute, clone, or create misleading versions of TallySeal materials without permission.
Third-party services and links
The website or app may reference, use, or connect to third-party services, tools, websites, app stores, platforms, libraries, SDKs, or resources.
TallySeal is not responsible for third-party content, policies, services, billing systems, availability, outages, purchase decisions, refunds, account restrictions, or platform decisions.
Availability and changes
We may update, suspend, remove, restrict, price, reprice, or change the website, product materials, waitlist, features, support channels, exports, diagnostics, or paid features at any time.
We may also update these Terms as TallySeal develops. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
Disclaimers
The website, waitlist, product materials, app previews, app, exports, summaries, diagnostics, and paid features are provided for general informational, recordkeeping, and early access purposes.
TallySeal does not guarantee that records, categories, estimates, exports, forms, or summaries will satisfy your tax, accounting, legal, financial, CRA, or business obligations.
TallySeal does not guarantee that paid features, purchase restoration, app store behavior, backup import, or offline access will work in every device, account, region, or platform condition.
Product previews may not represent the final released product.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CK Catalyst and TallySeal are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, business, tax, filing, accounting, data loss, device loss, purchase, refund, app store, platform, backup, restore, or entitlement-related losses connected to use of the website, waitlist, product materials, exports, paid features, or app.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
Governing law
These Terms are intended to be governed by the laws of British Columbia and the applicable laws of Canada, unless another law is required to apply.
